Melting - Pouring of Molten Metal by Coastal Foundry

Aluminum is melted in natural gas fired furnaces. The temperature is checked before the metal is transferred from the furnaces into ladles, where it is poured into the molds. Brass and bronze are melted in Inductotherm Induction Furnaces. The melting crucible is picked up with a crane and the metal poured directly from the crucible into the molds. Before pouring, the metal is normally cleaned and degassed.
